Blackpool and The Fylde College is delighted to have partnered with the FE Alliance to celebrate and develop our continuing professional development (CPD) and scholarship programme.
The partnership aims to share best practice with colleagues, develop this thinking and ultimately recognise success across the sector.
Although teaching and learning is central to this strategy, with the challenges facing the sector on best value and innovation, it is an exciting opportunity for all delivery and support funtions.
Our sector is a large, constantly evolving one and we recognise that some innovative practice is not widely shared, develped or recognised. We hope this initiative will help inspire our community to document the incredible wealth of talent we know exists.
At Blackpool and The Fylde College we define scholarly activity as 'what we do': from the everyday reflections on how to engage more succesfully, communicate more thoroughly and establish best value and practice, through to formal pieces of research and empirical study.
I commend the Journal of the FE Alliance to you and look forward to seeing others take part in this exciting initiative.
March issue contains 100th article! A real triumph for all Further Education Colleagues.
